He was born in Marine City on Sept. 16, 1924, to Albert and Elizabeth rose May. Ken married Fern Felstow on May 27, 1967.
He was a charter member of the Eagles in Fair Have, and enjoyed playing shuffle board.
A machinist by trade, Ken retired in 1987.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Fern; two stepsons, Vern and Carol Felstow and Ron and Connie Felstow; and stepdaughter, May Lou Doetsch and her husband, Bart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Jerry May of Marine City and Jim and Donna May of Algonac; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen M. Patrick and Rosemary Springer; and one brother, Gorden May.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday from the L. C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday in Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alan Schwieger, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
