Joanne Jeffery Fitzgerald was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2010.
Joanne was born in 1931 in Webster, NY to Marie and Mr. Jeffery and would have celebrated her 79th birthday on December 8th. She attended Nazareth High School in Rochester. Joanne had a busy life raising her four children and extended family with her much loved husband of 38 years, Joe Fitzgerald. She was a loyal employee at Kodak for 22 years in the Medical Department at Kodak Park.
Joanne particularly loved summers in Vine Valley on Canandaigua Lake, and lived a few years there before permanently moving to Bonita Springs Fl.
In addition to her devotion to her church and family, Joanne graced several choirs with her beautiful voice. She sang with the Kodak Choir, the Musical Notes, and also the Sweet Adalelines while living in Rochester, NY. She then brought her beautiful soprano voice to Florida where she sang with much joy with the Evangelist Choir at St. John's Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, Fl. She loved her friends and choir members and developed strong ties to this wonderful group.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Karen Emerson; and stepson, Michael Fitzgerald.
Survived by Joseph, her loving husband of 38 years; daughter, Debra Erbland (John); sons, Gregory Emerson and Patrick Emerson (Diane); Joe's children, James Fitzgerald, Sharon Westhoff (Mark), Karen Fitzgerald; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be at 3:00 p.m. on December 13th at St John's Evangelist Church.
