Ira at some point was manager of Terrace Gardens Club on Canal Rd. and owner of Ira's Grill located at 3865 W 25th St. in Cleveland. I was told he was a good businessman due, in part, to the fact that he didn't drink alcohol like many other club and bar owners did. He only drank Coke. I'm sure that's not the reason/sole reason he was successful!

Family lore says Ira met the much younger Peg at a dinner party and thought her beautiful and sweet. It's said he thought to himself, "Someday I'm going to marry that girl." And he did, on February 15, 1929. It was a real love match.

He loved Western movies. A friend of his owned a small movie theater and let Ira see them as many times as he wanted for free! My grandmother raved about his kindness and personality! Having no children, he and my great aunt could be forgotten so I have tried to learn all I can. If you know more about Ira, please contact me!
