Funeral services for George Lewis Baucom, who passed away Sunday, April 16, were held at the Reeves Funeral home in Tabor, Sunday, April 23, with Rev. John Blough in charge of the services. Interment was in the Randolph cemetery.
George Lewis Baucom. the son of George Riley and Annie Eve Keefer Baucom, was born at West Point, Bates county, Missouri, on June 26, 1877, and passed away at Vallejo, California on April 16, 1950, at the age of 72 years.
He grew to manhood in Missouri, then came to Southwest Iowa, where he lived most of his life as a farmer at Tabor, Randolph and Shenandoah until the time of World War II when he went to Portland, Oregon to work in a shipyard.
He was united in marriage to Mamie Lee on February 1, 1905, at Mountain Grove, Missouri. Nine children were born to this union, eight of whom are still living. (Names private)
He is also survived by three sisters in Kansas, two brothers in Iowa and three sisters in Missouri. (Names Private)
