FLORENCE ETCHEVERRY

CARLSBAD--Florence Etcheverry, 90, of North Canal Street in Carlsbad, died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, at Lakeview Christian Home's North Canal Unit.

A funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Edwards Catholic Church. The Rev. Noel Kramer will officiate.

A vigil will be 7 p.m. today at the church. Interment will be at Carlsbad Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 27, 1908 in Pecos, Texas, to Martin and Connie Arreguy. She married Jim Etcheverry in 1925. He died in 1973, after 48 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church.

Survivors include sons James Etcheverry of Carlsbad and Sam Etcheverry of Montreal, Canada; daughters Mary Bauder of Albuquerque and Cecilia Wigley of Carlsbad; and 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Etienne Etcheverry, John Etcheverry, Bobby Johnson, Trace Johnson, Denny Gentry and Chance Laney.

Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
