John H. Carroll

The Rev. John Harvel "Jack" Carroll of 2nd Street, Ardmore, Alabama, died July 9, 1986 at the Limestone Nursing Home.

Funeral services were July 12, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Bailey officiating. Burial was at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Taylor Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Lawrenceburg, Mr. Carroll was the son of the late John and Margaret Coffee Carroll and the husband of the late Ella Mae Faulkenberry Carroll. He was a minister for 57 years, pastoring churches in Limestone, Madison, Lawrence, Morgan and Giles Counties. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, The Decatur Masonic Lodge and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include three sons, the Rev. James Harvel Carroll, Howard Carroll and E. P. Bratcher; one daughter, Frances Bailey; and one brother, Clarence Carroll; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. [Your Community Shopper 16-12 Jul 1986, page 14]
