Daughter of Ananias P. and Anna (Crasper) Jump.

2nd wife of Frank Everett Dyer.

"Mrs. Effie Jump Dyer passed away Friday morning, May 5, at Jefferson after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Dyer was born at Summit May 26, 1869, the daughter of Annamias and Anna Jump. Her early life was spent at Summit until June 1908 when she married Frank Dyer of Jefferson. Prior to her marriage she taught school and was also a music teacher. Mrs. Dyer was a devout member of the East Jefferson Methodist church, having been Sunday school superintendent, teacher, organist and choir leader for many years. Her musical ability, along with a never-failing desire to be of service made her a leader in church and community affairs. Her genial Christian nature and unselfish devotion to her home and church won for her a host of friends, among whom she will be greatly missed. Besides her husband she is survived by two brothers, A. J. Jump of Summit and Grant Jump of West Fulton; one sister, Mrs. Lottie Sperbeck of East Jefferson; two nieces, Miss Marian Jump of Cobleskill and Mrs. E. N. Moot of Sharon Springs; also three nephews, Orson Jump of Cobleskill, Harold Jump of Summit and Joseph Fancher of Detroit, Mich. Funeral services were held from the Wilcox funeral home Sunday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Keil of Jefferson officiating. Burial was made in the East Jefferson cemetery.
