Nolus M. (Milt) Magers, age 89 and a resident of the St. Andrews Community, died on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Magers was born on November 30, 1919, to Reuben Curtis (Curt) and Lula Hancock Magers in Baldwyn, MS. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and then later worked for Sears for more than 22 years as an Internal Security Manager. Mr. Magers attended Pearl River College in Poplarville, and Missouri Baptist College in Poplar Bluff, MO. Milt and his wife moved to St. Andrews from Bella Vista, AR, where he was an avid golfer. He golfed with the St. Andrews group and belonged to the Property Owner's Association of St. Andrews. Milt is preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, and his two brothers. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife since 1940, Dema, of St. Andrews; his son, Donald (Pat) Magers of Fredericktown, MO; his daughter, Joy Waldstein of Lenexa, KS; a grandson, Jason (Sarah) Janssen; two great grandsons, and three step-grandchildren, all of Overland Park, KS; five step-grandchildren and their families of Fredericktown, MO and several nephews and nieces of Memphis, TN. Mr. Mager's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services held.
