The remains of Mrs. Needie Ward gates who died at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis were laid to rest in Bethesda Cemetery.
She was survived by her husband, Luther Gates and three small children; her mother, Mrs. C.T. Smith and several brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Gaines was a lifelong resident of Senatobia. She was a granddaughter of Capt. Needum Ward, one of the pioneer citizens of the county.
