Mrs. Reed, 95, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Reed.
She was a faithful member of Oakdale First Baptist Church and dedicated teacher for 35 years. Also a wonderful and much loved mother, grandmother and sibling.
She is survived by her daughter, Iva Reed Green of DeRidder; one brother, Bufford Young of Lake Charles; six sisters, Effie Bono of Lake Charles, Gussie Crawford of St. Marys, Georgia, Loyce Frazier of Boise, Idaho, Mattie Chelette of Dallas, Texas, Amy Word of Buna, Texas and Cathy Pecorino of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Lisa Sullivan, Todd Green, Kirk Green and Lana Armand and five great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home Downtown Location from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2004 and at First Baptist Church, Oakdale from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, December 11, 2004.
