Santa LaLonde, 83, died in Queensbury, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at The Stanton.
Born on May 21, 1926, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Bertha (Riley) Mercurio.
Her husband, Robert LaLonde passed away in 1977.
Santa was a waitress at the Madden Drugstore, formerly in Glens Falls and the G & V laundry, also formerly of Glens Falls.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Catholic Church in Hudson Falls.
Santa enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and her many friends. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking and reading.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Mercurio and Jim Corridor; her sisters, Lena Ricciardelli and Josephine Hamblin; a sister-in-law, Josephine (Snookie) Mercurio; and a brother-in-law, Jack LaLonde.
The Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Edward.
