Mrs. James A. Carroll
Blacksburg. Mrs. Sara White Carroll, 78, wife of James A. Carroll, of Lime street, died Thursday night about 8:20 o'clock at the Cherokee County Memorial Hospital in Gaffney.
A retired textile Worker, she was a member of the Church of God where funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Linwood .Jacobs, the pastor, the Rev. J. M. Tickler and the Rev. L. P. Wright will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery with the Gordon Harrison Mortuary in charge.
The pallbearers will be Boyce Bullock, Jr., William Blackwell, Walter Jones, Floyd Patterson, James Lanier and Coley Childers.
The body will remain at the home until time for the funeral.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Carroll is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Jesse Bullock, of Blacksburg, Mrs. George Runyan, Mrs. Lester Bullock and Mrs. C. T. Bailey, of Kings Mountain, N. C. and Mrs. Jesse Arrington and Mrs. John Miller, of Charlotte; a son, George Carroll, of Blacksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Blackwell, of Bessemer City, N. C and Mrs. Charles Moss, of Blacksburg; four brothers, Tom White, of Blacksburg, Ed and Ephriam White, of Gaffney, and Billy White, of Gastonia, N. C; 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
