Mrs. Jean Ellen Bell Rackley, 77, of 6900 Faison Hwy, Faison, died Saturday at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC.

Mrs. Rackley, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Richar thomas and Verdie Bell Bradshaw Bell and the widow of Joseph Franklin Rackley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Edith Ann Rackley, a sister, Melba Young and two brothers, Harold Bell and Victor Bell. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and a retired manager with J. C. Penny Co.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon R. Sinclair and husband Davis of Clinton, June R. Norris and husband Newitt of Faison, two granddaughters, April L. Sinclair, and Kelly N. Willaims and husband Frankie, two grandsons, Adam Sinclair and wife Wendy, Josh Norris and wife Lauren. three great grandsons, Cameron and Cooper Williams and Drake Sinclair, nephew, Chris Young and wife Denise, great niece, Cameron Young, great nephews, Brandon and Jonathan Young.

The family recieved friends from 6-8pm, Sunday evening, December 6, 2010 at the Royal Hall Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home.

The funeral services were held at 3pm, Monday, December 7, 2010 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard weeks officiating.

Burial was made in the Church Cemetery, Faison, NC.
