DIED,--This morning, the 5th inst., at the family residence, in this city. Mrs. Caroline Mills Martin, beloved wife of Hon. W. W. Martin. Funeral from the Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the 6th inst.

"For so He giveth his beloved sleep."

Deceased has been a resident of this city for several years, and by her kindness has gained the universal friendship of the ladies of this community. She was a very devout and hard-working member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Martin has had the consumption for many years, and for the last two years she has been in very feeble health, and for weeks past death has been expected at any time. On Sunday night Death entered and carried her soul to God. Of her it may truly be said "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord. Yes, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labor; and their works do follow them." Deceased was aged 30 years, 10 months and 8 days.
