The daughter of James and Jane (Lacey) Keeton. On her 16th birthday (1860) she moved with her parents to Jackson County Illinois. On Jan 16,1861 she married Valentine Tabors. She bore him seven children. Mr Tabors was murdered by his brother-in-law Abe Rice in 1870, leaving her destitute and with children Emma and Isaac Tabors. Parker had big house and and young children. She became his house-keeper.
This was told me by Fred Saul, my father, as told to him by his father, William "Squire Billy" Saul: "I stopped by to visit with Parker. We were sitting in the living room chatting. Suddenly he called out to the kitchen "Leuticia, come in here!" When she appeared, wiping her hands on her apron, he said "Squire Billy is gonna marry us." I believe the bride was as surprized as I was." The date was 21 July 1879.
27 years later Parker and Louticia's daughter, Edna, married Squire Billy Saul's son, Fred.
More facts:
Emma Tabors married John Lattina in 1886. Children: Ferdnand and Bernice
Isaac Tabors married Jemima Jones in Jackson Co. IL on 6/4/1893.
Brother John Milton Keeton living in Grand Tower 1900 census, & possibly in Nashville, TN in 1935.
