Pontifical requiem mass will be read at Sacred Heart Church, Manning, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday for the Rev. John F. Achatz, 65, pastor of the parish, who died at St. Anthony Hospital here Monday morning. Celebrant of the mass will be the Most Rev. Joseph M. Mueller, D. D., Bishop of Sioux City.

Burial will be made in the parish cemetery at Manning.
