Bernice M. Gowen, age 76, died Monday
in a Nampa hospital
The family moved to Nampa in 1907.
She was a member of the Nampa First United Methodist Church; a past matron of the Nampa Chapter No. 30 Order of the Eastern Star; past guardian of Bethel No. 4 International Order of Job's Daughters; and past grand guardian of the Grand Council of Idaho of International Order of Job's Daughter.
Interment in Cloverdale Memorial Park.

Bernice was employed by the First Security Bank until Freeman established his business, then she became bookkeeper for the business. Later, she became secretary for the First United Methodist Church where she worked for 19 years, until just before her death.
