He never married. The middle name MAGEE on his granite headstone is incorrect. His mother was born Carrie Leonard Magee, but his WW I Draft Registration card clearly records his name as Coney White Mitchell and his birth as 22 July 1894. Also, found his birth registration maintained by State of Virginia, indicating that he was born in Prince George County, Virginia, on 22 July 1894. Lastly, there is an entry in a Wilkinson family Bible made by his maternal aunt, Linda (Magee) Wilkinson, sister of his mother, Carrie (Magee) Mitchell, referencing him as Coney White Mitchell.
