Born in Reading on Feb. 3, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Willisteen (Richardson) Peoples and stepdaughter of the late James C. Peoples.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Reading.
Kat is also survived by two sons, Tylee T. Scott and Cameron L. Scott, both of Tucson, Ariz.
There are also one brother, Brian Richardson, and his wife, Celeste, Reading; and six sisters: Rita Brockington, and her husband, Willie, Reading; Sharon Williams, and her husband, Claude, Harrisburg; Lorraine Richardson, Charlotte, N.C.; Joan Richardson, Reading; Carla Richardson, Charlotte, N.C.; and Carla Howard, Charlotte, N.C.
Other survivors include two grandsons, Tahj J. Scott and Randy J. Farrell-Scott; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in Bethel AME, 330 W. Windsor St., Reading. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church.
