Andrew Perry Higginbotham (1915-1957) WV/MD
Andrew Perry Higginbotham, 42, of Halethorpe, Md., formerly of South Charleston, died of a heart attack in a doctor's office there. He was superintendent of engineering at the Baltimore office of U. S. Fidelity Guaranty Co. A member of the first commencement class of South Charleston High School in 1932, he was a graduate of the University of Maryland. Mr. Higginbotham was a veteran of World War II and a Member of the Masonic Lodge, Order of Redmen and Halethorpe Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife Allene S.; three daughters, Jean of Chicago and Carol Ann and Clotielde, both at home; two step-daughters, Theodora Ellison, at home and Mrs. Robert Wedra of Baltimore; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Higginbotham of South Charleston; a sister, Mrs. June Arey of South Charleston; a brother, Charles of San Clemente, Calif. The family asked that flowers be omitted and instead donations be sent to the Heart Fund. The body will arrive at Degnan mortuary in South Charleston tomorrow.
