Mrs. Dora Coon beloved resident of Durham and Chico since 1916, died suddenly last night in Chico, after a brief illness. Her death was unexpected and came as a shock to her many friends. Mrs. Coon, a native of Norwood, Missouri, was born August 9, 1885, and spent her early childhood in that section.
"She is survived by her husband Allen T. Coon; a daughter, Cleadys Poole of Chico; a son, Howard Jenkins of Oakland, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lula Walker, Coweta, OK; Mrs. Earl Riser of Prairie Dusat, WI; Albert King, Norwood, MO; Mrs. Dolly Anderson of Coweta, OK; Mrs. Cora Campbell of Tyler, TX; Mrs. Newton Hatfield, Okmulgee, OK; and Mrs. Flora Rader of Kansas City, MO. Arrangements are pending with the Nugent funeral service."
