ALTA {PHARIS} ADAMS, 90, of Batesville, AR passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Rolling Hills Nursing Center. She was born May 11, 1920 in Pennington, lived in the Grubbs Community and was a member of the Ballew's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church until moving to Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louin and Maggie Dunham Pharis; one sister, Agnes Williams, and husband Harvey Adams; one grandson, Bronson Dinwiddle; and one son-in-law, Don Larsen.
She is survived by one son, James Adams of Bivins, Texas; five daughters, and four son-in-laws, Norma and Leroy Mitchell of Bradford, AR., Mildred Larsen of Batesville, Ar., Brenda and James Neal of Nettleton, MS., Martha and Bill McElrath of Horn Lake, MS., and Laverne and David Bennett of Jonesboro, AR.; fourteen grandchildren, Henry Limbert, Keith Limbert, Dale Limbert, Doug Limbert, Tommy Odom, Debbie Norman, Kirby Larsen, Stacy Neal, Jessie Neal, Mitzie Rhudy, Jeremy Neal, Amanda Moxley, Jason Bennett, and Matthew Bennett, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 Monday in Ballew's Chapel Cemetery, Grubbs, AR. with John Worsham officiating. {Dillinger Funeral Home, Newport, AR.}
