Loganville Elda R. Krout, formerly of Loganville, died at 6:10 p.m. July 21 at Rest Haven-York. She was 90.
Mrs krout was a teacher at Jacobus Elementary School and the former Kriedlers School, Springfield township. She was a housewife.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Jacobus, where she sang in the choir for 65 years.
She was a former Girl Scout leader in Loganville in Loganville. She was a former leader of the Loganville 4-H Club and a former secretary of Loganville School Board.
She received a teacher's certificate from the former Millersville Normal School.
Born in Jacobus, July 10 1906, she was a daughter of the late Homer J. and Lucy J. Keener Geiselman. She was the wife of the late Steward D. Krout.
She leaves three daughters, K. Jeanne Shearer, Lakeland, Fla.; Flo R. Goodling, Loganville; Dorothy F. Prescott, Seven Valleys RD2; two sons, Ralph C. Krout, Summerdale, Ala., and Walter L. Krout, Thomasville; 17 grand children; 32 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Harding and Loretta Ellenberger, both of York; and two brothers, Herbert Geiselman, Jacobus, and Ralph Geiselman, York.
Viewing is 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin St. Jacobus. The service is at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with her pastor, the Rev. Fred A. Walthour, officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Union cemetery, Jacobus.
