HOPE - VERDEN W. LONG, Hope died Friday, March 2, 2007.
Mr. Long was born Feb. 15, 1919, near Hope. He was a farmer and stock man in the Ramona and Hope area.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dwight, in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Doris, of Abilene, two daughters, Lois Lind of Tilden, Neb. and Letha Krause of Appleton, Wis.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery, Hope.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Hope School Foundation, in care of Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, Hope 67480.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where friends may call until the service.
