Joseph P. Abate 64 died Aug. 1, 2003 at his Methuen, Mass., residence following a yearlong struggle with cancer. He was born in Lawrence Mass. Nov. 3, 1938 the son of Thomas and Albina (Cronin) Abate. He was educated in Lawrence Schools.
Joe worked for several years at the Lawrence General Hospital and for the past few years we was employed at the Berkley Retirement Home retiring in 2002 due to ill health.
