Donald L. Osburn 1928 - 2010 Bonner Springs

Funeral Mass for Donald L. Osburn, 82, Bonner Springs, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shawnee. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Osburn died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House.
He was born Feb 2, 1928, in Mayetta. He had lived in this area since the early 1950s.
Mr. Osburn owned and operated Osburn Construction for many years, building numerous homes in and around the area. He had retired from Griffin Wheel Manufacturing after more than 25 years.
A daughter, Linda Osburn, died in 1961.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathryn Osburn, of the home; a daughter, Betty Coleman, Bonner Springs; a son, Don Osburn, Overland Park; two brothers, Lester Osburn, Topeka, and Robert Osburn, Craig, Colo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. The family suggests memorials to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145.
