Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at St. Infant of Prague Roman Catholic Church in Kearny for Frank Abril Sr who died there Sunday. He was 94.
Mass will be said at the church at 9 a.m. Friday.
Mr. Abril, a native of Hermosillo, Son., immigrated to Tombstone with his family and reared there and in Tucson.
He later moved to Ray, then to Sonora which he is credited for naming and of which he became the first postmaster in 1912.
Mr. Abril remained active until four years ago, alternately as a businessman, tailor, teacher, store owner and paper vendor.
He is survived by two sons, Roy and Frank Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Ochoa and Mrs. Roman Lopez; a brother, Ramon; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Beach and Mrs. Dolores Turner; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the family plot at Florence, with McLellan Funeral Home of Superior in charge.
