Bertha May Batterbee, 81, of Avon Park died Dec. 30, 2010. Born in Lansing, Mich., she was a switchboard operator, and a member of Highlands Community Church.
She is survived by her children, Sue Hinkley, Mike Batterbee and Dennis Batterbee; sister, Lois Noaker; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7 with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. in the Highlands Community Church, Sebring, with Rev. Bruce Linhart and Rev. Mark Batterbee officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Avon Park, is in charge of arrangements.
