Another son was Captain Alexander Slidell MacKenzie {1803-1848} married to Catherine Alexander Robinson who were the parents of General Ranald Slidell Mackenzie and Lt Commander Alexander Slidell MacKenzie

Catherine Alexander {Robinson} MacKenzie was the daugther of Morris Robinson and Henrietta Duer the daughter of Colonel William Duer and Catherine Alexander.
A sister of Catherine Alexander was Henrietta/Harriet Duer {Robinson} {b.Sept 24, 1828-d.OCt 29, 1893} married to Albert Gallatin {b.Feb 7, 1825-d.Sept 13, 1859 Geneva Switzerland} the son of James Gallatin the son of Secretary of the US Treasury Albert Gallatin

The gallatins were also related to the Livingston, De Peyster, ALexander, and Otis families as well:

William Foster ORis {b.December 1, 1801} was the son of US Senator Harrison Gray Otis. Emily Marshall was a descendant of Sgt John Marshall
