Funeral Is Held for Selma Visitor
Funeral services were held at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Byrne Funeral Parlors for Mrs. Marilla Carolline Valentine, who died Sunday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Kate Brazil, at the age of 84 years. She was born in Ohio on June 10, 1860, and had lived in California thirty-two years. Prior to coming to Selma three months ago, she had made her home in Hollywood.
Mrs. Valentine is survived by one son, Selak Spencer Valentine of Hollywood; one daughter, Miss Grace Valentine of New York City; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in the North Selma Cemetery.
