Rev. Sheane became an ordained Methodist minister in 1956 and served in churches in the North and South of Ireland and in Kansas after relocating there in 1967. In April of 1973 he became a U. S. Citizen and moved on to serve in Presbyterian churches in Arizona. He came from an agricultural background and supplemented his ministry with hay harvesting skills and developed a hay fluffer which is still used. He was a pilot and loved to fly. In 1995 after nearly 40 years in the servitude of God's mission, Ken retired.
He later married Alma L. Kaldor in 1997. Ken and Alma moved to Rock of Ages Retirement Center in Oregon a few years ago and immediately set about serving their community spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Sheane of McMinnville, OR; aunt, Frances Mooney of Whitegate County Clare, Ireland; nephews, Bryan and Paul (Heather) Sheane of Wicklow, Ireland; step-children, Lynette (John) Hamilton of Yuma, AZ, Annette (Earl) McClenahen of Audubon, MN, Carol (Daniel) Nelson of Wyoming, MN, Jerry (Roxanne) Kaldor of Duluth,, MN, Kathy (Howie) Kaldor/Tobin of Los Gatos, CA and many more family members in Ireland.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Rock of Ages Shiloh Way Chapel at 2 PM. Memorials can be made to Rock of Ages or charity of choice. A private burial will be held at Aal Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND at a later date.
