Edward Leon Gladney Sr., 69, of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, formally of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005, at his home.

Edward was born in 1936 in Ocala, Florida to the late Amos Bernard Gladney and Nellie (Myers) Gladney Salmons. He was united in marriage to Rosalie Marie (Guida) Gladney and they were married for 46 years.

Survivors include his beloved wife,Rosalie, a son, Edward Leon Gladney Jr. of Marathon, New York, a daughter, Rose Marie Cravath of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, Philicia and Luke Gladney, both of Cincinatus, New York and Brittany Cravath of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, a brother, Charley "Butch" Salmons of Fulton, a sister Judy Campbell of Jefferson City, Missouri, and several neices and nephews.

He was also proceeded in death by an infant sister.

Mr. Gladney attended Fulton Public Schools. He served in the United States Army, entering in 1953. After the war, he and his son operated a trucking company for more than twenty years. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation in Mt. Cobb.

Services were held last week at the Louis Margotta Funeral Home in Jessup. Interment was in St. John's Cemetary in Jessup.
