Member of 17th Ordnance Company during WW II. He was a Staff Sergeant. He lived through the Japanese attack on Clark Airfield on Dec. 8, 1941, ten hours after Pearl Harbor. On April 9, 1942, he became a Prisoner of War and took part in the Bataan Death March. He spent three and one half years in POW camps in the Philippines and Japan.
