ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Services for Nila (Jennings) Riggs, 64, were held Thursday with Rev. Robert A. Butziger of San Andrews Presbyterian Church officiating.
Riggs, who died Tuesday, after an extended illness, was born April 18, 1923.
She was reared in the Fox area and married Paul Gandy who preceded her in death in November, 1953. On July 15, 1956, she married George Riggs in Duncan. They had lived in Ardmore before moving to Denton and then to Albuquerque.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Jennings and a brother, Harold Jennings, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; two daughters, Jema Mendelsberg, Albuquerque, and Paul Powers, Astoria, N.Y.; one son, Mark Riggs, Dallas; one brother, Marvin Jennings, Ardmore; two sisters, Ruby Skaggs, Salem, Ill., and Margrie Lackey, Ratliff City, OK; and three granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
