Harvey "Joe" B. Forwood, 74 Harvey "Joe" B. Forwood, 74, of Concord Twp. died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 11, 2014. Born to the late Harvey and Greta Guthrie Forwood, he lived most of his life in Concord Twp. graduating from H. Fletcher Brown Technical School, class of 1957. Joe was the owner and operator of Forwood Arco Service Center until 1976, afterwards he then worked as a head mechanic for Diamond Taxi and Airport Shuttle and retired from Sun Oil in 2007. He was a member of Elam United Methodist Church, where he was the former Lay Leader, former leader of the Morning Star Singers and the KIC's. He was a member of the Handy Man Club of America and enjoyed wood working, working on cars and he also built his own house. He served in the Army with the Delaware National Guard. In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his, son, Thomas Charles Forwood and sister, Doris Gicker. Services: Saturday, 10:30a.m. at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Visitation: Saturday, 9-10:30a.m. at Elam United Methodist Church, Glen Mills, PA Interment: Elam United Methodist Church Cemetery.
