Sarah Louise Burford, 78, of Salem, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Virginia Saunders; and several brothers.
Her surviving family includes her husband, Edward Eugene Burford; son, Mark Coleman; stepchildren, Timothy E. Burford and wife, Cynthia, and Sharon M. Mahala and husband, James; two grandchildren; stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Burford, Christopher Mahala, and Benjamin Mahala; several nieces and nephews including, Melody Palmer and Preston Saunders; and sister-in-law, Clara Saunders.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton with Pastor Tommy Hurt officiating.
