Kermit Roosevelt "K.R." Fancher, born January 2, 1930 Conner, Arkansas died February 18, 2003 age 73 Portland, Oregon; son of James Poteet Fancher and Arcie V. (Smith) Fancher of Conner, Arkansas, and late of Portland, Oregon. K. R. was not only in the Korean War, but also the Vietnam War. His is buried at the Redland Cemetery, Oregon City, Clackamas County, Oregon, next to his son Russell Fancher.
He is survived by his sons, Colonel Ronald Fancher, US Army, Ft. Jackson, So. Carolina, and Richard Fancher, Huntington Beache California. His surviving sisters are: Irma G. Fancher Gade, Colorado; Thelma Fancher West, Texas; Rene Fancher Moynihan, Missouri; Lois Fancher Dixon, Oregon; Geraldine Fancher Dixon, Oregon; and LaVeta Fancher Lawton, New York. Deceased siblings: Chester Fancher, Vaughnie Fancher Carpenter, and Edith Fancher Britt.
