In 1869 Peter Cunningham came to America with this parents, Timothy & Sarah, at the young age of 1 year old. He earned his citizinship 29 Dec 1898. He farmed with his parents in the area of Olmsted County, Minnesota until 1908. It was then that several of the clan took the opportunity to make a homestead claim in the Scranton area of Bowman Co., North Dakota. Once in ND Peter became a mason by trade, and kept that occupation until his death in 1938. He passed from a Cerebral Thrombosis while in South Dakota.
