Son of Odie and Ada (Holland) Lenning. He married Ethel Charlson on Feb. 20, 19937. He owned & operated Lenning Milling Service for 35 years, and also owned Lenning Radio-TV Service for several years. He was employed for 8 years with Sunstrand in Ames, retiring in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, Radcliffe; his children, Gloria & Ron Glesne, Minneapolis, Gene & Lonna Lenning, Huntsville, Ala., Rev. Steve & Virginia Borwick, Waukegan, Ill, Rev. Jerry & Rebecca Erickson, Des Moines, Steve Lenning, Iowa City, and Roberta & John Kloss, Minneapolis; a brother, Emery Lenning, Blairsburg; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn Greenfield and Adelaide Long.
