HIP FRACTURE PROVES FATAL

Native of County Dies In Home At Bloomington, Funeral Tuesday

Complication resulting from a fractured hip, suffered five weeks ago, proved fatal Sunday to Mrs. Susan Crawford Weaver, at the home of her son, Frank Weaver in Bloomington. She was 83 years of age.
A native of Lawrence county, Mrs. Weaver was the widow of Jacob W. Weaver, who died in 1920. He had been a farmer east of Bedford for many years.
Mrs. Weaver was born September 23, 1856.
Surviving are ten children, eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Methodist church of this city.
The remains were taken to the Leston Jones funeral home in Heltonville, and will be returned to the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Carl Younger, on Road 50, east of Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Fairview church by the Rev. S.E. Stroud of this city. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
