Jesse E. Teague Dies
Jesse G. Teague, 88, of 523 Fifteenth street, died at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday at the Keller Nursing home. He had been in failing health for eight months.
A retired carpenter, Mr. Teague was born September 22, 1872 in Lawrence County, the son of James E. and Mollie Ikerd Teague.
He married Minta L. Wever, June 24, 1899, who preceded him in death, June 26, 1960.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray Dougherty, of Bedford; one son Roy Teague of Columbus, Indiana; one grandson Raymond L. Dougherty of Bedford; one great grandson Raymond Michael Dougherty of Bedford and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Drake of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Clifford Beckenhauser of Indianapolis.
Mr. Teague attended the First Christian Church of Bedford.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elmwood chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Grant Blackwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
