Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Caroline (Donchez) Boldizar.
Joy was a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem.
She was employed at Exide Battery Corp. as a secretary for more than 20 years. After retirement, she worked at Carpenter Technology as a secretary, working with filing taxes for five years.
She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Klix IV, Allentown; and Barry M. Klix, husband of Joanne E. Klix, Shillington.
There is also a granddaughter, Jessica M. (Klix) Jones, wife of Mark Jones Jr., Ontelaunee Township.
Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Emily Bleiler, Mark Jones III, Mathyas Jones and Ana Jones.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Trinity Jones; and her sister, Mary Hill.
Joy loved traveling, shopping and spending time with her sons, granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, will be Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at 1 p.m. Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington, will be immediately following services.
