HE MARRIED TWICE:

(1) KATE ANN ANDERSON 30 AUG 1905 IN HAWKINS COUNTY, TENNESSEE. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIAGE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN - LENA BELL, JAMES EDWARD, WILLIAM DAVID, GERTRUDE LEE AND MATTIE HELEN.

(2) CORA LEE CARROLL PIERCE 18 FEB 1927 IN LEE COUNTY, VIRGINIA. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIAGE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN: ELLA DERRICK.

JOHN HASSON DERRICK WAS THE SIBLING OF FRANCES EDITH, MARVIN, LEONARD AND JAMES ECKEL DERRICK.

JOHN HASSON DERRICK DIED AT HOLSTON VALLEY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL IN KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE.

BURIAL IS PER THE TENNESSEE DEATH CERTIFICATE.

[John] Hasson Derrick, 67, Route 7, Kingsport (Morrison City) died at 12:10 p.m., Thursday in Holston Valley Community Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Hawkins County and had been a resident of Sullivan County for a number of years.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Cora C. Derrick; five daughters, Mrs. J. L. Carter, Mrs. Kelly Estep Jr., of Kingsport, Mrs. Edd Haney of New Jersey, Mrs. Kinley Egan of Morrison City and Mrs. Bobby Thomas of Oak Ridge; one son, Bill Derrick, Greenville, Indiana; 26 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Bill Derrick, Greenville, Indiana, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Golda Carroll and Mrs. Ethel Skeens both of Virginia; one stepson, Paul Pierce of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Morrison City Mission with the Rev. Tom Franklin and the Rev. Frank Topson officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrison Chapel Cemetery. The body will be removed from Carter-Clamon Funeral Home to the residence at 3 p.m., Saturday.
