BELDING - Gerald W Ricks Sr., 63, 622 E. Ellis Ave., died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born April 11, 1921, at Sheridan, he was a retired employee of Belding Products Corp.
A World War II veteran, he served in New Guinea and Luzon and was a life member of the Sheridan VFW Post.
Surviving are his wife, Crystal; three daughters, Beverly Ricks, Greenville, Maxine Nieto, Belding, Judy Ann Overby, Madison, Wis.; two sons, Gerald W Jr. and William (Billy), Belding; a stepson, Philip Sanders, Midland; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Reed, Greenville, Mrs. Melvina Norman, Belding; three brothers, Robert, Bell Gardens, Calif., Kenneth, Grand Rapids, Lyle, Greenville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 1pm at Huffman Funeral Home in Belding, the Rev. Kendall Downing officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens with full military honors.
