Son of John Q.A. & Amelia (Woodard) Miller. He attended school in Webster City. He taught in rural schools in Hamilton Co. for 2 years. He then received a business administration degree from Jem City Business College in Quincy, Ill. Following his educatioon, he worked for Singer Manufacturing in Cario, Ill. He then moved to Manson, where he was employed by the Bank of Manson. In 1909 he married Faye L. Thompson. In 1910 he moved to Webster City, where he was office manager for C.E. Atkinson, general contractor, for 9 years. He then became managing officer for the Security Title & Loan Co., where he worked for many years. He was also an officer & member of the board of directors for the Webster City Federal Savings & Loan Association.
Survivors include daughters, Opal Ries, Stuart, Fla., and Arlene Miller, Webster City; 2 grandsons; 5 g-grandchildren; one g-g-grandson; and brother, Harry Miller, Clearwater, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Faye on May 28, 1971; and two brothers, Dr. Chester Miller and Vern Miller.
