Charles H. Behrens
Charels H. Behrens son of Chas. and Sophia Behrens was born in Preston, Iowa, dec. 2, 1876. Died April 18, 1938. he was raised in the German Lutheran church and was baptised and confirmed in that faith.
Feb. 15, 1900, he was married to Cora Foster in Preston, Iowa. About thirty years ago they came to Humboldt, Iowa and have made this city their home. Mr. Behrens was engaged in farming and for some time he conducted a garage business here in Humboldt.
Milford the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Behrens preceded his father in death about 14 years ago. Besides his devoted wife he is survived by three children: Mrs. Pearl Sandven, Humboldt, Iowa, Mrs. Elsie Sawyer, Humboldt, Iowa, Glenn Behrens, Livermore, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; one brother Otto Behrens of Preston, Iowa; one sister Mrs. Ida Smimons of Preston, Iowa - Contributed.
