Mr. Sexton was born Dec. 25, 1909 in Joplin and came to Neosho in 1964. He was a retired farmer and member of North Miami Baptist Church in Miami, Okla.
His wife, Dorothy, died Jun 13, 1980.
Survivors include two sons, James Walter Sexton, Rt. 6, Neosho, and Paul Lester Sexton, Carl Junction, a stepson, Donald Carey, State of California, a sister, Betty Mayfield, Chetopa, Kan., five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services, under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Sexton officiating.
