William F. Clarke, 42, of North Mont Villa Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., died Monday at Washington County Hospital, Maryland, as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Pittston, he was son of Anne Marie Clarke and the late William F. Clarke. He was a resident of Pittston and Pittston Township before moving to Maryland three years ago. He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in 1973. He earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration from the University of Scranton. He was a certified public accountant. He was employed by Zefer Operations Inc., Fairfield, as their chief financial officer. He was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Mary Ellen Howard, Hagerstown, Md.; son, Dustin, Pittston; daughter, Megan, Pittston; brother, John, Newport Township; sisters Mrs. Thomas (Marie) Coyle, Old Forge; Mrs. Francis (Patricia) Cantafio, Pittston Township; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Adonizio Funeral Home Inc., 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.
