Catherine B. Svir, 61, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at her home in Grand Forks.
Catherine Bonita Warner was born the daughter of Milton C. and Leone M. (Arneson) Warner on August 2, 1946 in Grafton, ND. She was raised in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School in 1964. She attended the North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton, ND and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Upon the completion of her education, she was employed as a nurse in several health care facilities through out the United States. She was one of the founders of Hospice of Contra Costa County, CA.
She married Lambert T. Svir in 1983 at Lake Tahoe, NV. Following their marriage, they lived in California and Nevada until moving to Grand Forks in 2003. She resided with her husband in Grand Forks until her death. She deeply loved her family and considered her sisters-in-law to be her sisters.
She is survived by, her husband, Lambert; daughters, Trina (fiancé Ken Mikula) Scholler, Grand Forks, Priscilla Wagner, Grand Forks, Catherine (Travis) Nelson, Viking, MN; grandchildren, Marquise, Bryan, Justine, Callie, Keaton, Andre, Xavier, Jamare and a great- grandchild, Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service in the funeral chapel on Wednesday.
Burial: Aadalen Cemetery, Fairdale, ND.
