Glenn L. Heyer, age 74, of Town of Springvale, Brandon, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1933 in Milwaukee the son of Harry and Lillian Hennell Heyer. On January 31, 1987 he married Patricia A. Lemiesz in the Town of Springvale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in France from 1953 to 1955. He was employed with the Chicago Northwestern and later with the SOO Line Railroad retiring in 1987 and currently worked for Badger Auto Auctions. Glenn sold Christmas trees for over 40 years at his residence. He loved taking care of his yard and golfing, and in years past playing fast pitch softball, bowling, pool leagues, fishing and hunting in northern Wisconsin. He enjoyed watching many sports including basketball, which he played in school.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Heyer, Town of Springvale, two children, Richard (Penny) Heyer, Crivitz, and Gwenn (Rory) Peters, San Diego, California, four step children, Gregory (Kelsey) Thurk, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Terry (Ann) Thurk, Oshkosh, Doneen (Jerome) Hansen, Winneconne and Gordon Thurk, Janesville. Glenn is further survived by grand and great-grandchildren, one brother, Dean (Mary) Heyer, Reno, Nevada, a special cousin Al (Lynn) Hennell, Horicon, nieces, nephews, and his former wives, Irene Heyer, Crivitz and Elaine Colton, Fond du Lac. Parents and an infant brother preceded him in death.


Funeral Information
VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend John W. Covach officiating. Friends may call on Monday, October 1, 2007 from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M. when the funeral cortege then leaves for graveside committal services at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Springvale. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside committal services.

Memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society or Affinity Hospice.
